Our wedding stationery

The rich texture and intricacy of fibers found in our handpulled papers have both a visual and tactile quality. Macerated natural fibers such as kudzu, wild grapevine, bamboo, tobacco and many other plant materials readily found in the mountains of WNC result in a distinctive, highly textured paper. Inclusions of milkweed, corn silks, lily of the valley, and other botanicals render a soft, delicate, exquisite paper. Natural dyes and stains as well as artificial infusions allow us to produce a palette of colors ranging from subtle hints to brilliant hues that are a feast for the eye.

Imaginative effort goes into the decorative elements of your invitation. Each order is approached individually, incorporating techniques and unexpected applications specifically selected for your design. We may need a sewing machine, beeswax softens and adds another texture, hand-tooled copper may find a place, origami, and of course our own handmade paper oddities are always an option! Truly, we do not know what approach we will take until the design process begins and we evaluate the input we have taken from you.
